How do I choose the right gauge for my booster cables?
Choosing the correct gauge depends on your vehicle type and the distance between batteries.
- 1-2 Gauge: Ideal for heavy-duty trucks, SUVs, and large diesel engines.
- 4 Gauge: Perfect for standard sedans and mid-sized SUVs.
- 6-8 Gauge: Suitable for compact cars and small engines.
Always consider a lower gauge (thicker wire) for longer cables (20ft+) to prevent power loss.
Can the TOPDC Jump Starter be used on a completely dead battery?
Yes. Most TOPDC jump starters feature a "Boost" or "Force Start" function designed specifically for batteries with extremely low voltage (below 2V). Please refer to your specific model's manual for the exact button sequence.
My battery charger shows a red flashing light. What does it mean?
A red flashing light typically indicates a connection error or a faulty battery. Please check:
- If the clamps are connected to the correct terminals (Red to +, Black to -).
- If the battery voltage is too low to be recognized.
- If the battery has a short circuit.
Are TOPDC inverter welders compatible with home generators?
Yes, our latest digital inverter welders are designed with voltage fluctuation compensation. However, we recommend using a generator with at least 1.5x the rated power of the welder to ensure stable performance.

Where do you ship from and how long does it take?
We ship globally from our strategic warehouses in the USA
USA Domestic: 3-7 business days.
Note: You will receive a tracking number via email as soon as your order is dispatched.
Do you offer free shipping?
We offer Free Standard Shipping on all orders over $60 within the continental USA and select European countries. For other regions, shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

What is the warranty policy for TOPDC products?
We stand behind our quality. All TOPDC products come with an Industry-Leading 3-Year Warranty. This covers any manufacturing defects under normal use. We also offer lifetime technical support for all our customers.
How do I initiate a return or exchange?
If you are not 100% satisfied, you can return your item within 30 days of delivery. The product must be in its original packaging and condition. Please contact our support team at service@topdc.com with your order number to start the process.
Safety & Maintenance
How should I store my jump starter during winter?
Lithium-ion jump starters should be stored in a cool, dry place (ideally between 32°F and 86°F). We recommend charging the unit to at least 50-80% every 3 months to maintain battery health during long periods of inactivity.
Are TOPDC booster cables safe to use in the rain?
Our cables feature heavy-duty, weather-resistant PVC insulation designed to operate from -40°F to 140°F. While the cables are robust, always ensure the battery terminals and clamps are as dry as possible to maintain a secure electrical connection.
